Ribeauvillé Christmas Market

The village of Ribeauvillé is located on the Alsace wine route (Route des vins d’Alsace), between the towns of Sélestat and Colmar at the foot of the Vosges mountains, in the most renowned wine area of the region. Founded in the Middle Ages, the town has a rich medieval architecture, with narrow stone-paved streets, wooden half-timbered houses, and castle ruins. Among the events held in Ribeauvillé, the most important is undoubtedly the Medieval Christmas Market (Marché de Noël Médiéval). The Ribeauvillé Christmas Market is one of the most authentic in Alsace, the atmosphere of the ancient medieval markets is recreated in the streets of this ancient medieval village. The streets are crossed by beggars, clowns, fire-eaters, dancers and jugglers, you will find a rich assortment of local products in the gastronomic stalls, obviously the famous Alsace wine will not be missing, the craftsmen will present their works, including Christmas decorations, crowns of the advent, handcrafted nativity scenes, candles.
