In the southern part of Germany, in Baden-Württemberg, near the border with Switzerland, in the beautiful town of Constance (Konstanz) along the shores of the lake of the same name, a beautiful Christmas market is held. Founded by the Romans under the name of Drusomagus in the 1st century AD, the city received the name of Constantia in the 4th century. The city of Constance has a beautiful historic center (Altstadt) in which the cathedral (Münster) stands out, the most interesting area of the old city is the Niederburg, made up of very picturesque houses and streets. The Constanza Christmas Market attracts many tourists during the Christmas period.

1) Christmas market on the lake (Weihnachtsmarkt am see). The Christmas market in Konstanz usually consists of over 170 stalls and winds its way between the old town and the port, where the Christmas ship is located. There are countless opportunities to shop or to taste some of the local delicacies, but there are also culinary delights from all over the world. For the kids there are usually rides and ponies.
