Halbturn Castle (Schloss Halbturn) is a beautiful Baroque residence located near Lake Neusiedlersee, very close to the border with Hungary. The building was built in the early 18th century and used by the Habsburgs as a summer residence and hunting lodge. The Halbturn Castle Christmas Market is an important event which is called the Pannonischer Weihnachtsmarkt.

1) Halbturn Castle Christmas Market (Schloss Halbturn Weihnachtsmarkt). This market usually takes place inside the beautiful hunting estate of Maria Theresa of Austria and displays stalls with handicrafts, local gastronomy products, and the famous Burgenland wine. Lastly, musical entertainment, shows and games for children, pony rides in the castle and carriage rides are organised. Children will be able to prepare chocolate, decorate candles and ceramic cups and make molds with clay.
