Deidesheim Christmas Market

Deidesheim, a small town of less than 4,000 inhabitants, located in one of the most famous wine areas in Germany, is an important tourist center in Rhineland-Palatinate, thanks to the beauty of its small historic center and its famous wines.

The town originated in the Middle Ages, when a church and a castle were built there. In the streets of the historic center and in the market square there are beautiful civil architectures, to visit the old town hall (Rathaus), the Gothic parish church and the thirteenth century castle.

1) Deidesheim Christmas Market (Deidesheimer Advent). Market full of proposals from local artisans with ceramic, wood and glass objects, as well as proposals regarding jewelry and clothes. The town, and in particular the squares between, is filled with the wooden chalets of artisans and traders, obviously the excellent local wine is one of the most important foods in the gastronomic section of the market, taste the mulled wine made with local wine. Among the events organized for Christmas you will find concerts and shows, and for the little ones a pastry shop and a Christmas workshop where they can develop their creativity.
