Christkindlmarket Chicago – Daley Plaza in the Chicago Loop. This Christmas market dates back to 1996 and is inspired to the traditional Christmas markets of Germany. Particularly this Christmas market is inspired to that which takes place in Nuremberg from the mid-sixteenth century. The Chicago Christmas market brings the German and European tradition in this part of the United States and is the largest open-air Christmas market in Chicago. The Chicago Christmas market is held on Daley plaza in the Chicago Loop (between Dearborn, Washington and Clark Street).
